From the powerlines to a life I own.
I grew up on a farm in rural Alberta, where the answer to almost everything was work harder. I spent thirteen years as a Red Seal power lineman. Steady work, good people, and I was grateful for it.
But on a cold morning in early 2022, minus thirty-something, with the truck groaning to life and my breath fogging the windshield, I had a thought I couldn't shake: there has to be more.
I started listening to audiobooks between job sites. I built Rent To Home Now on the side, by night, for two years, while still climbing into that truck before dawn. My daughter was only a couple of years old, and I knew that if I didn't do it then, I'd miss the really fun years of her life. On June 12, 2025, I worked my last shift on the lines.
Today that business helps families across three provinces work toward owning their homes, alongside ventures in private capital, automated trading, US short-term rentals, and multi-unit real estate. I didn't write the book to impress anyone. I wrote it to light a path, even one step ahead, for someone who knows they were built for more but doesn't know where to start.
